Ellie Speak

Now if we only knew what she was saying...Lola might, but she's not telling!

beautiful morning at the bay...

I love being off work!
Instead of waking up at 5:15 and frantically getting the girls and myself off by 7:00. I slept in until 7:00 and after a leisure breakfast and some morning cartoons, the girls and I were off to the bay for some roller blading and fun at the park.

They are still trying to perfect their skills at walking through sand.
We finished the day swimming with cousin Aiden and a going on a much needed family trip to the grocery store!

Spring Break!!!

Friday started my Spring Break... Off for a whole week... the girls and I are going to have fun!
We did not waist anytime getting the party started. After a late night with friends on Friday we spent Saturday at two birthday parties. First was their friend Declan's first birthday, it was such a fun afternoon at their outer space birthday!
The girls loved this water toy...I am going to have to search on Craig's list for one just like it!
I tried to get the girls to play in the jump house, but they wanted nothing to do with it. They absolutely love jumping on mom and dad's bed but when they are allowed to jump on something-No Way-
Here's the birthday boy just about to devour his cake.

Then we went to Emma's to celebrate Auntie Sara's birthday!
They love playing on this table, especially when Emma bring out the cards.

Yummy Time to eat!

Happy Birthday Sara.

pigtails and basketball

Ellie's hair is just now long enough for little cute pigtails. Tony thinks I'm crazy and Ellie might too, but a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do...pigtails are just too cute!

Lola on the other hand is looking very worried. She was watching March Madness with daddy and both her parents top pick were playing tonight. She was worried that dad's pick WV might loose, they ended up winning, but mom's pick to win it all was Syracuse and they lost tonight.
Since she is so into the tournament I will let Lola make my pics next year.

Big day for Lola!

Lola has officially made her advancement to the "big girl" car seat. She is now 21 pounds and 29 inches tall (a bit long for her infant seat). She was in awe of her new view point. She kept staring at the dash and all the lights as well as out the windshield. She would just giggle to herself in excitement... it was so cute. It made my ride to work exciting.

Poor Ellie, she is still just 17lbs she has a while to go :(

double duty swinging

Today the girls met their friend Bailey at the park. The swings were a bit crowed so today we improvised by letting the girls swing together and they loved it! Lot of smiles and even more giggles.

Lola all smiles!
(this smile has been hard to come by these past few days, Lola is teething pretty bad and has been in a lot of pain, it was nice to see her smiling!)

Ellie loving the ride.
The girls were on the swing for almost half hour they absolutely love it and would cry every time I would try to take them off.

Bailey was having a blast too!

This was an adventure, we decided to let the girls walk together to the other playground, it was like herding cats - impossible- three toddlers going three different directions.

Our one attempt to get a shot of the three girls... maybe next time.

Happy Lucky day!

Here's a flashback to last St Patrick's day, so much has changed yet so much has stayed the same. As you can tell it is just as difficult to get them both to look at the camera at the same time as it was a year ago. This holiday is the first holiday that the girls have had twice... our babies are on their second round of special days :) Today after work we took the girls down town to celebrate St. Patti's, they loved it- all the people and all the festivities were fun to watch!

Happy 13 Months Girls!

March MADness!

I title this post March madness because it is absolute mad that we have such beautiful weather in March, the California taxes might be worth it after all. Since it was 80 degrees and sunny the girls, Tony, Emma, Uncle Mark, and Aiden decided to go for our first swim of the season. The girls sure do look cute in their little polka dot bikinis, especially Lola striking this pose.

Here is Lola doing her best impression of Grandpa Mezzadri! Can we say Future Blue Angel?
Grandpa Mezzadri is below on the far left.

She might have gotten more than just his chin!

On our way too the pool. I feel like I have this same picture, but last year the girls were able to share the same side of the wagon. Not anymore.
Our Ellie Belle, she was a bit skeptical of the water today which was surprising, but she will warm up to it again. Lola on-the-other hand is not in many of the pool pics because she loved the water and had a blast swimming and splashing around.
Ellie preferred to work on her tan!
(this is not a posed pic she climbed up on her own and flashed me this look).

Lola did not want to get out, we will have to go again this week!

Time out!

This is the newest addition to the Mezzadri household, I am sure this will not end up being the girls favorite addition. Let's just hope they don't make much use out of it!
Tony and I had fun painting it this weekend.

Day of Play!

Yesterday Tony, the girls, and I just played (well during their nap time I did manage to stain our deck and paint their new time out chair) but other than that we just played. Here our some simple fun shots of the girls just having fun!

Ellie's hair is crazy these days!

I love the weekends!
