Ellie on two wheels

So we all knew that when Ellie was ready to try riding on two wheels she would let us know. When Lola tried and master the two wheel bike this past summer, Ellie expressed no interest and we were okay with it. I am not sure what came over her, but yesterday (right after I got home from the ER mind you ) she decided that was moment she wanted to learn and master riding a two wheel bike. Good thing Emma and daddy were here to run after her, because I was in no condition to run. Our little determined Ellie mastered the two wheel bike riding after about only two tries. Each time should would attempt riding and suceed, she would shout "again, again!" This little girl would not stop. We are so proud of her. So of course we had to make a stop at Target today to get her, her very own kick stand!

Check out Ellie's skills below. One of my favorite parts about this video is that you can hear Lola cheering her sister on! Also Lola learned today how to start off completely on her own, also captured in the video. Way to go Elle, I love your excitiment!

A Preschool Halloween

The girls are loving everything about preschool this year. Especially now that the holiday festivities are beginning. The girls went on their very first school field trip this past week to the pumpkin patch. Daddy and Emma were able to accompany them on this adventure. The girls, Daddy, and Emma had a blast. They completed a corn maze, took a hayride, played games, had a pic-nic lunch, and got to pick out their very own pumpkin.
Group shot of all the students and their teachers.
FUN with friends!

Preschool Halloween Carnival
Lola and Ellie were beyond excited to attend their preschool Halloween Carnival. Tony and I were excited too,  as it was our first attempt at dressing up in our  2013 costumes. As you can see, Lola is a Cute Little Kitty Cat and Ellie is Darth Vader. Ellie and I spent some time making her Darth Vader costume the perfect blend of cute and dark, complete with a homemade belt and chest plate. Uncle Drew donated the face mask with a sound machine to make it come together. Lola fell in love with this Kitty costume in the store, but she let me complete the look with some face makeup.

At the Carnival, ready for some fun!
These sisters couldn't be more different, but at the same time so alike!
Mom and dad tried to join in on some of the fun!
There were twins all over the place at this Carnival.
Lola was beside herself when she saw her friend Summer dressed as a pink kitty too!
Ellie found a few Darth Vaders, but she was hands down the cutest one!
It was a yummy pot luck!
Jumpy time !
Let's decorate some cookies!

Dinner with daddy.
Time to play games and win some prizes!

What a fun field trip and Carnival. Preschool is the place to be this time of year!

Pumpkins, Parties, and Poppi

We attended a pumpkin party at our church this past weekend. It started with some dinner and of course dessert. The girls got to decorate cupcakes with their Sunday friends.
Anna, Lola, and Ellie

After the cupcakes were decorated we headed outside to carve pumpkins. Except, Ellie takes after her mothers and doesn't love carving pumpkins, she decided to draw four different faces on each side of her pumpkin.

After all the kiddos were done carving we headed into church,
where Pastor John gave a lesson on Halloween. It was kind of dark in there, I am so surprised how attentive the girls were and how they  just sat with their whole group of friends.

Poppi was down for a visit, he had yet to meet his newest grand baby, Sydney. Even though Sydney's birth prompted the visit, the girls still got plenty of Poppi time. After soccer practice on Saturday we headed out for donuts and a stop at the library. Poppi and the girls colored!

Aiden turns seven! How did that happen so fast? Well, we helped Aiden celebrate his birthday with a little bowling and a lot of fun at the game center.

Daddy even got to bowl!

Look closely at the score board... can you see who won? You're right, it's Lola. her first time bowling she scores a 68 and beats the whole team (Carri was a mom too).

around the house

If you look around our house lately you will notice that it looks like it has been decorated by two four-year-olds... and guess what, it has! The girls have recently gained an enthusiasm for drawing and writing, to the point where they will go into their room and sit at their art table for over and hour and just draw picture after picture. Of course when they have completed each masterpiece, they have to show it off. They do this by hanging their art all over the house. I absolutely love it, each time I see a new one hanging it makes me smile!

My favorite is this last one, waves with surfers, both surfing and falling off!
note: excuse the martini themed scratch paper :)
