Mother's Day 2017

My girls set their alarm to get up and make me breakfast in bed. They learned how to make this parfait in garden class this year and made one for me all on their own. It was amazing! A job well done!

Our Mother's Day was bit non-traditional, but we loved it. After breakfast in bed and some handmade gifts of potted flowers, flowers, and earrings we headed out on The Seven Bridges Hike. These girls are troopers and hiked all 6 miles of it with me (that really was my gift, though they didn't know it) through Balboa Park, Bankers Hill, Mission Hills, and Hillcrest. We took our time and enjoyed the littles things, had some coffee, admired the houses and smelled some flowers. It was so nice to walk around our own city!
We started at the rose gardens in Balboa Park.

Lola called this the "Paper Tree" I see it!
 Ellie loved this door

 Getting Inspiration

 We made a wish!
We stopped for Coffee on University!

After a few hours of walking we made it home to relax by the pool with a book and Champagne.

I love being a mother to these two girls.

Teacher for a day

"Teacher Assistant" for the day was auctioned off as part of a school fundraiser. Lola and Ellie begged me to bid, the bid went too high and I called it quits, until the girls put up some of their own money to win it! In the end (i'm talking mil-a-seconds- we won and the girls were thrilled!

Mrs. Nazarian, Ellie, and Lola has spent Friday after school planning for the upcoming Monday when they were to teach. The girls were sent home with projects to prep and lessons to review. They even planned to coordinate their outfits, a Silver Gate shirt, jeans and sneakers. They even got treated to lunch by their teacher!

Lola and Ellie team laugh the lesson for the day.
Lola is doing the read aloud and Ellie is on the doc cam.

Lola and Ellie led a geometry math lesson.

They graded papers with Mrs. Nazarian

Back to the whole class lesson, this time Ellie was ding the reading and Lola was on the doc cam.

Smart board fun! Ellie is teaching the Scholastic News lesson!

Both Lola and Ellie consider this day the best day of second grade!

Easter 2016

This month has been pretty stressful, to say the lest, so Easter crept up on us pretty quick. The day before Easter we found some moments to color eggs! The girls were pretty creative and colored two-dozen.

Easter baskets were filled with some summer necessities, books, and a bit of candy.

It took the girls quite some time to find their baskets this year. The house is much bigger and there are much more places of runs to to hide them! After about 15 minutes they found them hidden in our room of course!

The girls and I went to the early mass this Easter, as Tony was a bit laid up and has to stay home.

This year we hosted Easter. My grandmas, parents, Emma, and Uncle Drew joined us for dinner.
We mad it very casual considering the circumstances.

 The HUNT is on!

 The found a basket full!
My Easter cuties!
My Mom!

Nana and GG watching the hunt.

It was a nice day and the girls enjoyed every bit of it. Tony got to watch the hunt via face time. We were all together and it was nice to have a holiday at our home.
